Media Release

This Media Release & Consent (“Release”) is entered into between Move for America, doing business as Civic Bridgers (“Civic Bridgers”), and the undersigned participant (“Participant”). This Agreement is delivered electronically. The Participant consents to using an electronic signature to sign this Agreement and be legally bound to the terms of this Agreement. By electronically signing the Agreement, the Participant also consents to entering into this Agreement in electronic form. The Participant acknowledges that the Participant’s electronic signature will have the same legal force and effect as a handwritten signature.

1. Consent to Recording

Participant understands and agrees that Civic Bridgers and its representatives may record, capture, or otherwise obtain video, audio, photographic images, written statements, or other forms of media (“Media”) during the two-day event.

2. Grant of Rights

Participant hereby grants Civic Bridgers a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and unrestricted license to use, reproduce, edit, display, publish, distribute, transmit, and otherwise exploit the Media, in whole or in part, for any lawful purpose, including but not limited to:

• Educational and training materials

• Promotional and marketing content

• Public relations and outreach

• Funding proposals and donor communications

• Reports, publications, or digital distribution

• Social media, press releases, websites, or archival use

This grant includes the right to use Participant’s name, likeness, voice, image, quotations, and biographical information as captured in the Media.

3. No Compensation

Participant acknowledges that they will receive no compensation for participation in recordings or the use of the Media. Civic Bridgers has no obligation to use the Media.

4. Ownership

All Media and any derivative works are the exclusive property of Civic Bridgers. Participant waives any rights to inspect or approve the final use of the Media.

5. Release of Liability

Participant releases and discharges Civic Bridgers, its employees, contractors, affiliates, partners, volunteers, and agents from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to the recording, use, distribution, or publication of the Media, including but not limited to any claims for invasion of privacy, right of publicity, defamation, or copyright.

6. Minors

If the Participant is under 18 years old, this Release must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.

7. Voluntary Participation

Participant acknowledges that signing this Release is voluntary and that they may choose not to be recorded. Civic Bridgers will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests to avoid recording areas when feasible.

8. Governing Law

This Release shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict of law principles.
