Interested in volunteering? We have four Volunteer Teams: Recruitment, Operations, Facilitation, and Experience.

🟣 Recruitment

The Recruitment Team focuses on student enrollment. They distribute flyers, talk to principals, pitch the event to student groups, and get the word out! Recruitment Volunteers think about things like: Who’s a good fit for this opportunity? Who hasn’t heard about America’s Future Summit yet? Which partners, influencers, or leaders should be activated to increase visibility?

🔵 Operations

The Operations Team makes it look effortless. They show up early, oversee and manage supply checklists, keep the schedule tight and on track, and think of the finer aspects of execution that others might miss. Operations Volunteers think about things like: Are there enough tissue boxes? Is the first-aid kit fully stocked and handy? What’s our inclement weather plan – and do we have the right type of sidewalk salt for the temperature?

🟠 Programming

The Programming Team infuses the Summit with expertise. They write field portfolios, lead breakout sessions, give keynote addresses, develop and evaluate students on rubrics, give feedback, and judge pitches. Programming Volunteers think about things like: Is this evidence-based? Who’s speaking to perspectives that aren’t always well or accurately represented? How are we measuring for the success of all students, not just those that typically thrive?

🟢 Experience 

The Experience Team inspires full engagement (even for their fellow volunteers). They engage the senses with eye-catching decor, design, tablescapes, and amenities. They consider the wide-ranging needs of guests and make accommodations as though those each need is a central, organizing aim. They have an eye for cohesion, balance, and excellence. Experience Volunteers think about things like: Is the décor on brand? How are we sustaining the vibe as we transition between Summit elements? Are the sweatshirts neatly arranged on the merch table?
